I don't use Mutton with fat to make my Sunday special Mangshor Jhol. Usually we don't buy and cook red meat as often as we cook chicken and other non-veg stuff. But I promise this recipe wont disappoint you and that you will enjoy this dish. Motton aloo jhol (Odia style Motton curry) step by step
- Heat a pressure cooker with oil..
- Add sugar to get caramelise..
- Then add chopped onion and red chilli in it..
- When they become translucent then add the masala paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt, meat masala and chopped tomatoes in it..
- When the masala release oil then add the Mutton pieces in it and cover it for sometime..
- Add water and cover the lid of the cooker and wait for 4-5 whistles in low flame..
- Then switch off the flame and after the gas releases then open the lid of the cooker..
- Now your mutton curry is ready..
- Serve hot with traditional Odia chakuli pitha..
